Prayer

Prayer is important...

Prayer is an integral part of Providence Baptist Church life. The early church of the New Testament was marked by regular seasons of prayer (Acts 2:42). We believe in our day and time this aspect of church life must not be neglected. If there were ever a time the church needed greater dependency upon God, it's in our day. Some examples of our gathering for prayer are:

Sunday afternoon Prayer Meetings

Several times a month after our noon meal together the church gathers for a season of prayer for one another and the needs of the church at large.

Wednesday evening Corporate Prayer

During this time the church focuses upon various needs of both the Kingdom of God at large, by praying for missionaries and sister churches; as well as our own personal and corporate needs as a local church of Jesus Christ.

Men's Prayer Breakfast

The men gather monthly, on a Saturday morning, in the home of one of the members, for a special time of prayer and fellowship.  After our season of prayer we enjoy a breakfast and brief time of fellowship. Our time of prayer is followed by a morning of work at the church or at the home of some of the congregation with needs.

Ladies Prayer

The women gather monthly, on a weekday morning, in the home of one of the members, for a special time of prayer and fellowship.
