During the course of the year, Providence Baptist Church hosts a number of special events that promote church growth and life together. These events range from extra seasons of preaching to annual picnics. An example of a typical year's events include:
Bible Conferences
These conferences usually involve bringing in a pastor from a sister church for a weekend of concentrated preaching and Bible study. Over the years we have been blessed to have a number of men from all corners of the world.
Annual Ladies Banquet
Each year, the men of the church cook and prepare a special banquet honoring the ladies of Providence Baptist Church. The banquet is followed by a special speaker who challenges the ladies of the congregation in their walk with God. This banquet is usually held close to Mother's Day weekend.
Annual Picnic
Each Spring, usually on Memorial Day, the church families and friends gather at a local park for a time of fun, food, and fellowship.
Home School Support Group
During the school year, the church opens its doors to the Citrus Christian Home Educators Association (CCHEA) for their home school support group meetings. This activity is not sponsored by the church, but gives home schooling parents in the community an opportunity to encourage and help one another in their educational endeavors. For more information see CCHEA Website.
